Charming 17th century engraved allegorical title page print with very attractive hand color.

Wonderful depiction of a warrior entering the chambers of a royal geographer/ cosmographer/ scholar. Note the globes and hanging instruments on the wall in the back ground and on the table. Militia of men with spears seen in the distance, the title banner held aloft by a winged cherub.

Remains a nice looking example with a pleasing age patina. Any small age flaws are minor and easy to overlook or forgive.
