Charming little late 16th century wood cut map from the famous monumental work Cosmography. About as primitive a map as can be imagined for this or any country. Provides a fascinating glimpse into Europe during the Early Modern period.

Nice looking example, pleasing age patina, any minor age flaws easy to overlook or forgive. Text as always on reverse.
