Avonia: Dresses, Nurses' Uniforms, and Maid's Uniforms
Published c. 1922, Boston by the Jordan Marsh Company.
Illustrated folding brochure. Text in English.

Very scarce ephemeral survival which bears a purple rubber stamp from the Jordan Marsh company marked paid on May 18 above two dresses (perhaps indicating the owner paid for one of them?).

Publisher's art deco style pictorial paper wrappers, an oblong sheet accordion multi-folded into 6 panels printed on both sides with charming art deco women in various work costumes, including house maid uniforms! Also nurse uniforms plus leisure dresses for affluent fashionable women.

Item is old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.

Paper covers age worn, slight rubbing, remains overall clean and attractive as a fragile survival.

Text block paper is toned, signs of handling, couple short minor splits down fold line edges, still well preserved, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. The scarce advertisement leaflet displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.

Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this early Boston department store item survives.

Covers measures c. 6 1/2" H x 3 1/2" W.
