Brian DiMambro- Antiquarian Books, Maps & Prints(Ephemera, Keepsakes, Love Letters, Floral Prints, Illustrated Prints).
Untitled.
Created c. 1850's-60's, by Mansell, United States?
Decorative floral print with a tiny embossed name of Mansell at the bottom of the sheet just above the decorative lace border.. Text in English.
The floral elements are affixed to the sheet and are thus slightly raised, there is some green ink/ paint hand work, then it's lettered to the recipient by an anonymous sender.
Sheet is over 100 years old and shows some signs of handling and time. Sheet is not new or in "new" condition.
Paper gently age worn, left edge with old paper affixed (appears sheet was once within a scrap album), bottom margin trimmed some, slight spotting and loss along the edges, remains overall clean and attractive as a fragile survival.
The scarce item displays a pleasing and unique age patina and overall is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this rare offering survives.
Item measures c. 8 7/8" H x 7" W.
