Well preserved, nice looking example with pleasing age patina. Original center fold as issued.

Decorative regional map of the American Southwest, featuring Texas in its Republic stovepipe delineation reaching to modern day Wyoming and Colorado. 

Includes a gold washing vignette not included in the first edition, two other vignettes show archeological ruins in the Yucatan and "Mexican peasantry."

Upper California is shown with the gold regions highlighted in yellow/ gold, Arizona has a pre-Gadsden border with Mexico, and Oregon is oversized in a territorial outline. Numerous Indian tribes named and early travel routes through Texas and the West are shown as are numerous forts and outposts in Texas and Upper California.

A nice map of this region at this transitional moment in time.
