Scarce original antique engraved view print. A detailed depiction from Cook's third and final voyage to this remote and previously little known location.
A very early recognition view of the coastline of Alaska.
Printed on quality period heavy hand made paper as issued which retains its inherent structural flexibility and soundness.
In Good to near VG or better condition, normal minor light age toning to sheet as typical to paper of this era, some scattered minor foxing primarily in the blank margin, and some light age wear along the fold lines. However these do not detract from the overall appearance of the image- please inspect visual scan closely
Various original fold lines as issued. Item was acquired nicely folded as originally issued and we unfolded it only for photographing. Item will be stored & shipped folded, which is far safer than open.

The printed area remains visually pleasing, a nice impression of an interesting and fascinating exploration image from the age of discovery.
