Issued 1798, London by Dilly.
Some offsetting from original folding as often seen.
All the original fold lines neatly backed with archival tissue paper to stabile and close various clean splits.
Map now displays very well.
Five early proposed states are shown, each indicated by Roman numeral. These closely resemble Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana & Ohio.
Ohio Company Land named as is a land grant “New Connecticut” sitting below Lake Erie.
Indian Boundary negotiated by Genr’l Wayne’s Treaty 1795 shown cutting across proposed state #1. "Seven Range of Townships" along Ohio river named, as is a huge "Land of the Six Indian Nations" in western New York state. Maine still a District, "Kentuckey" named thus, etc.
