Charming near folk-art antique engraved frontispiece.  Various allegorical historical female figures, Roman male warrior standing with spear by her side, sailing tall mast ships on sea in background. Western intellectual Enlightenment personified.

Minor light surface age wear and toning as typical, some faint minor foxing in the blank margins, overall the image is clean, well preserved and very attractive. Jumbo large blank margin at bottom.
