Pictorial guide books of this vintage of this city are uncommon/ scarce.

Very scarce item, no doubt an expensive souvenir in the day.

Publisher's cloth books, gilt title lettering, armorial cover decoration, oblong format.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.

Binding age worn, signs of handling, rear cover stained (see pic), edges of covers stained or worn, covers loose from text block of images, front interior hinge cracked/ broken, remains overall attractive as an object.

Paper is gently toned, title, first plate and endpaper with crease, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
