Fascinating early 19th century American version of this well known philosopher author with much on female sexuality, child bearing, midwifery and even medical remedies.
Period full leather binding, smooth spine, gilt bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting black leather label.
Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding age worn, lightly rubbed and scuffed, leather still supple, book square, overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is toned, slightly wrinkled, small scattered spotting.
Still attractive on the shelf. Item displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
