19th century publication from Pseudo-Aristotle detailing subjects on women's health, pregnancy, midwifery, sex, physiognomy, and other early modern medical topics.
Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding gently age worn, leather supple, joints slightly scuffed, two tiny holes on rear cover, short split at head of rear joint, binding slightly 'cocked", still remains overall very attractive as an example of this type of publishers early gift binding.
Text block paper is gently toned, light to moderate scattered age spotting, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
