Large oblong 4 panel folding detachable pictorial map at rear. Map includes two inset city plans: Hamilton Harbour & St. George Harbour. Decorative compass rose, strapwork title cartouche, tiny pictograms show numerous types of sailing ships, people engaged in water sports, golfing, bicycling, and even a bi-plane. Scale is one mile equals 1" 1/4.
Illustrated color lithographed pictorial paper covers.
Binding remains clean, cover spine paper splitting, covers loosened with small edge chipping.
Interior contents clean, sound, tight, display a pleasing age patina, largely free of age spotting.
Charming and uncommon pictorial map remains well worthy of display, one fold line slightly more edge worn, map was separately printed and folded in with detachable line shown along inset tab.
Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
