Period full morocco leather binding, slightly raised bands, gilt compartment decorations, gilt title lettering & cover decorations, all edges and turn ins gilt patterned.
Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding gently age worn, leather rubbed but still supple, joints slightly scuffed and splitting, front cover loosened slightly, still remains overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is uniformly well toned, internally well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Item displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
