Period 1/4 leather binding, paper covered boards (over real wood). Early woodcut owners name plate to front pastedown. With fascinating and perhaps unique early owners embossed stamp to front free blank endpaper of: W.B. Chamberlain, MD Homeopathic Physician and surgeon in Keene, NH.
Binding remains clean, tight, and sound. Interior contents display a pleasing age patina with a gentle overall age browning and light spotting.
Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf, leather is supple. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
Overall a well preserved book of this era, nicer than typical.
