623 pages plus index. Text in English. Illustrated throughout with a engraved plates & 5 large folding European maps (only- lacks 3 maps, total of 16 plates present [of 19]). 

Five large folding maps: Silesia (Saxony & Bohemia), Brandenburg around Berlin, plus three other German regional maps.

Attractive antiquarian 1/2 leather binding, raised & gilt bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting red leather label, marbled covers/

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. 

Binding gently age worn but still appealing, leather and joints slightly rubbed but still supple, remains overall very attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently age toned as typical, internally book remains mostly clean, tight and sound. A book which has been taken care of but may/ does not look like new.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
