Short video captures condition much better than words. Please watch video prior to purchase to ensure a full understanding of the set.
Publisher's gorgeous 1/2 leather bindings, raised bands, gilt title lettering & compartment decorations, marbled covers & end papers.
Set is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time, but still remains lovely. Set is not new or in "new" condition.
Bindings gently rubbed and age worn although bright, leather remains supple, set remains overall clean and attractive.
Text block paper is gently toned, internally still clean, fresh, well preserved, tight and sound.
Still very attractive on the shelf. Set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this splendid and unique extra-illustrated antique set survives.
