Published February, 1885, London by Edward Stanford.
Page count starts p. 65 ends with p. 136. Text in English. Folding map(s) at rear as issued (appear unopened although paper is quite brittle and easily splits along fold lines).

Contents include: "Four Years' Journeyings Through Great Tibet, By One of the Trans-Himalayan Explorers of the Survey of India" by General J.T. Walker; "European Territorial Claims on the Coasts of the Red Sea, and its Southern Approaches" by Sir Rawson W. Rawson.

Maps include: "Great Tibet" and "Coasts of the Red Sea (Southern Part)".

Scarce late 19th century geographical periodical removed from bound volume (evidence visible along rough spine).

Original paper cover (edges chipped & with old rubber stamp), lacking rear wrapper. Binding remains clean, tight, and sound. Interior clean, some pages loosened from old dried glue binding, light signs of use.

The periodical remains well preserved given the fragile nature. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.

Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this antique item survives. Uncommon 19th century scientific magazine in any condition.

Magazine Measures c. 9 1/2" H x 6 1/8" W.
