1,097 pages. Text in English. Large hand colored folding map of "Palestine" (Holy Land) on bond paper at rear.
Period 1/2 leather binding, slightly raised bands, gilt compartment decorations, gilt title lettering, all edges gilt.
Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition but is bright and very attractive on the shelf. Nicer than typical example.
Binding gently age worn but still appealing, leather rubbed but still supple, joints slightly scuffed, remains overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is gently toned, internally still well preserved, tight, sound. Map is complete and clean, some various mis-folds.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
