94 pages. Text in English. Heavily illustrated with 38 finely engraved view plates (complete as called for in list of contents). An expanded edition from the slightly earlier subscriber edition issued in two thin volumes, this being an expanded version with extra views supplemented.

Attractive antiquarian full leather binding, slightly raised & gilt bands, gilt title lettering, pictorial central gilt device & embossed cover decorations.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. 

Binding gently age worn but still appealing, leather and joints slightly rubbed with some surface scuffing spots, board tips slightly worn, but still supple, remains overall very attractive as an object.

Text block paper is age toned as typical, moderate to at times heavy foxing (many plates are clean), internally book remains mostly clean, tight and sound. A book which has been taken care of but may/ does not look like new.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
