c. 400 pages. Text in English. Profusely illustrated throughout, many full page color plates. A thick monumental compilation of four complete issues, hundreds of images throughout.
Period 1/2 leather binding, smooth spine, embossed bands, gilt title lettering, cloth covers,
Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding age worn but still appealing, leather rubbed but still supple, joints scuffed, book is slightly "askew" (cocked) which could be remedied if desired with a simple book press, remains overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is gently toned, internally still well preserved, tight, sound. Appears to be complete, no evidence of any plate removal.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
