Volume two of a two volume set. This volume complete unto itself, covering Europe, Asia, Africa and with mention at the end of "New Discoveries".
Period full leather binding, smooth spine, gilt title lettering on contrasting black leather label.
Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding well age worn, yet still remains overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is well worn and thumbed from use, only 3 map fragments remain, one almost a complete map of Africa engraved by J. Allen (well torn- see pic).
Still attractive on the shelf. Item displays a pleasing and unique age patina, rare in any condition and expensive if found with the maps. Sold for the content and as an 18th century American geography imprint by the grand father of American geography.
