Period 1/2 leather French bindings, smooth spines, gilt title lettering & spine decorations, marbled covers & end papers, top edges gilt.

Set is physically old and shows some light signs of handling and time. 

Binding gently age worn, leather rubbed but still supple, still remains overall bright and very attractive as a set.

Text block paper is uniformly well toned, clean, internally well preserved, tight, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. Item displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
