Very nice pocket sized publisher's binding set of this early 19th century era.
Period full grained leather binding, smooth spine, gilt bands and title with decorative ornamental compartment stamp.
Items are physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Set is not new or in "new" condition.
Bindings gently age worn, leather rubbed but still supple, covers firmly and strongly attached although each book has a broken joint with the cover held by binding cords, still remains overall attractive as a c. 200 year old set.
Text block paper is toned with scattered age spotting throughout, internally well preserved, tight and sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Item displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
