Principal Automobile Routes in and out of Los Angeles, California.
Published 1913, Los Angeles by the Automobile Club of Southern California.
Folding brochure. Text in English. Unfolds to a detailed city plan of Los Angeles.
An early contemporary user of the map has highlighted their way out which takes them through Hollywood.
Publisher's pictorial paper wrappers folded into panels, printed on both sides.
Item is old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition. Previous owner has marked a route in red crayon.
Paper gently age worn, slight rubbing, remains overall clean and attractive as a fragile survival.
Paper is lightly toned, signs of handling, tiny holes at two fold line intersections, still well preserved, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. The scarce pamphlet displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this rare early L.A. street map survives.
Map measures c. 14" H x 17 1/4" W.
