Rare English edition of literary works by the girls who worked in the thread and cloth mills in Lowell, Massachusetts.
Old privately commissioned cloth binding, gilt title lettering on contrasting red leather label. Rebound long ago by early owner who affixed their fine armorial bookplate to paste down.
Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding age worn, old spotting to cloth, leather label scuffed, still tight and sound.
Text block paper is toned, text block mostly clean and square.
Item displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
