Period full grained leather binding, raised bands, gilt compartment decorations, gilt ruled cover with original owner's name embossed in gilt, marbled end papers, turn ins gilt. Binding remains tight and sound. Interior contents clean and bright.
A very unusual book in encounter in a full leather binding with an interesting provenance.
Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
