The 1818 Primer is defective, with the bottom section of pg. 13 torn away (actually still present! and able to be re-attached if desired), and the top 25% portion of. pg. 24 is also lacking. Otherwise complete with early wall paper wrapper covers. The other two primers are worn but complete.
Bindings well age worn as typical for juvenile Primers of this pre-1850 era, each remains attractive in the context of what they are.
Paper is toned, various signs of handling and time, still mostly sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. The books display a pleasing and unique age patina and is in overall nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws which may be present seem easy to overlook or forgive.
