180 pages. Text in English. Engraved map with original hand color at front and several hand colored engraved plates protected by original tissue guards. The Battle of Lexington plate is by Amos Doolittle. Numerous intext line drawings and maps as well.
Publisher's cloth binding, gilt title lettering, embossed spine and cover decorations. Binding remains clean, tight, and sound although it has chipping to cloth along the joints and the corners are worn. Overall remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
