Period 1/4 leather bindings, raised bands, gilt title lettering, marbled covers and end papers. Rear cover of volume one detached. Bindings of volumes two and three remain clean, tight, and sound.

Text block tight and sound with moderate to heavy age spotting. Original paper wrappers bound in, bound long ago in marbled covers and endpapers with cloth spine.

Lot of four books total.

Books remain well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
