Rare early 19th century American imprint from a small Vermont publisher.
 
Period full leather binding, smooth spine, gilt bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting black leather label. 

Spine head slightly chipped, front joint cracked, front cover loose and all but detached, now held only by original binding cords. Text block tanned, but remains tight and sound, scattered spotting and small staining throughout.

Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
