A fascinating compendium on a wide range of topics including currency conversions, telescopes and observatories (including the Great Craig telescope named), Long detailed lists of all the Commandants names of Brigades and Regiments in the state, number of newspapers per state list, endless commentary about all aspects of weather including clouds, atmosphere, tides, planetary revolutions, on and on.

Publisher's cloth binding, gilt title lettering.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition. With old 19th century historical institution book plate to front pastedown.

Binding well age worn, spine cloth split in middle, joints splitting resulting in covers being weakened (rear cover more than front), remains overall sound and attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently toned, internally still square, well preserved, tight, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
