Original hand marbled paper wrappers, wood cut ornamented border title leaf w/ errata + contents leaf, suite of 18 optical plates, all printed on heavy hand made paper.
Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding gently age worn, covers lightly sun faded along front spine, remains overall quite fresh, tight, and entirely attractive as a rare book.
Text block paper is gently toned, light to moderate scattered age browning or small spotting, internally still clean, well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
