7 volumes, each c. 300 pages. Text in French. Engraved frontispiece in each volume (total of 7 finely copper engraved plates).

Attractive antiquarian 1/2 leather bindings, smooth spines, gilt title lettering, marbled covers.

Set is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Spine leather is age dried with surface crackling

Bindings age worn but still appealing, leather surface crackled, joints slightly scuffed and rubbed with some minor surface splitting but all covers remain strongly and firmly attached, leather still supple, set remains overall very attractive as an object.

Text block paper is gently age toned as typical, internally set remains mostly clean, tight and sound. A set which has been taken care of but may/ does not look like new.

Still attractive on the shelf. Set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in rather nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws seem easy to overlook or forgive.
