A very rough example of this rare large 19th century juvenile color plate book.
Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time.
Binding well age worn, spine repaired long ago with linen fabric, edges and corners worn down, heavy signs of handling internally, various tears (some repaired), stains, etc. A heavily worn book which clearly has been extensively handled, still very pleasurable to browse.
Still fairly attractive on the shelf in a manner unique to 19th century juveniles. Book displays a unique age patina, the many various age flaws easy to overlook or forgive if viewed from the right perspective. This is not a book for you if you only want/ collect fine condition..
