A unique one-of-a-kind example of this rare book.
In a 19th century half leather binding. Raised bands gilt, compartments stamped with central gilt devices, contrasting title label, marbled covers and end papers, deckled edges, several small woodcuts and five nice early lithography plates.
Binding is rubbed, joints scuffed, leather slightly dried and scuffed but still supple, spine ends chipped. Book remains square, clean, tight and sound with a handsome appearance. Internally tight, clean, s couple of the litho plates with old damp staining in the lower blank margin.
Book remains well preserved and very attractive on the shelf. It displays a beautiful age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
