Original period 1/4 leather binding. Smooth spine gilt ruled into compartments with gilt title lettering. Plain paper covered wooden boards as typical of the era. Woodcut frontis of the couple seated in the forest with a full moon.
Spine leather chipped, front joint cracked, cover held by binding cords.Scattered moderate to heavy age toning with scattered spotting. Still sound & tight overall.
Rare American imprint in any condition from a small NH publisher, perhaps published by advance subscription.
Book measures: 5 3/4" H X 3 1/2" W.
