The Poetical Works of Thomas Moore.

747 pages. Text in English. Engraved frontis & half title. Illustrated throughout 6 engraved plates.

Period full leather binding, raised bands, embossed compartment decorations, gilt title lettering on spine & cover, embossed cover decorations, all edges & turn ins gilt, marbled end papers.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition. With an 1872 gift inscription.

Binding a bit age worn, leather rubbed but still supple, tiny chip to spine head, joints and edges scuffed with various small spots of loss, small chip at spine head, remains overall attractive as an object.

Text block paper is uniformly age toned, light scattered age spotting, a few pages in middle of the text block with a small amount of edge damage (shown in pics), internally still well preserved, tight, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
