182 pages. Text in German. With five hand-colored engravings on separately printed and inserted plates which all depict a harlequin. Splendid detailed original hand coloring.

Illustrated pictorial paper covered boards, leather spine. A very scarce/ rare juvenile book with hand colored plates relating to harelquins.

Binding remains sound, leather spine with small spots of loss. Interior contents toned, yet display a pleasing age patina with light scattered spotting throughout. Text block slightly shaken, some signatures or pages slightly askew.

Book remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
