125 pages. Text in Spanish. Complete with 7 folding maps & celestial diagrams/ charts at rear, including two large 1829 world hemisphere maps [by A. de Montenegro/ Tardieu] with original hand color.
Wonderful period Spanish tree calf full leather binding, smooth spine with gilt bands and compartment devices, gilt title lettering on contrasting red leather label, marbled end papers, speckled edges.
Binding remains fresh and remarkably well preserved. Overall very clean, tight, and sound. Much nicer than typical for full leather book bindings of this era.
Interior contents fresh, tight and clean. They display a pleasing age patina, largely free of age spotting. Any age flaws are easy to overlook or forgive.
Wonderful example of a rare Spanish book with a strong cartographic interest.
Book measures: 8 1/4" H X 5 3/4" W.
