Complete 9 vol. set in once splendid (all boards) ornately armorial gilt stamped full diced calf bindings (Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland). Marbled endpapers, early Dublin college prize bookplates to pastedowns. Recipient was a top scholar, the set once splendid and still impressive.

Sixteen (16) large folding engraved maps (various typical edge tears and inset tab tears with paper folding), three single page plates (including portrait frontis).

Poor physical condition, once noble and expensive.

Numerous covers are completely detached, others loose or held by cords. Leather is dried, scuffed, chipped and worn along extremities and tips, however each book remains tight and sound as issued internally.
