Set is almost 120 years old and shows some signs of handling and time. Set is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding gently age worn, joints slightly scuffed, small rubs and minor stains, remains overall quite clean, fresh, bright and attractive as a set.
Text block paper is gently toned, some tissue guars are ripped, internally still very clean, well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Set displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.Â
Please review photos for more detail showing how this monumental large heavy set survives. The asking price reflects the condition based on our examination and 35+ years full time exposure to antiquarian books. Flaws seen and described have been taken into account.
