Street Guide and Automobile Road Map of San Diego City, County - and Southern California.
Published c. 1935, distributed free by San Diego by San Diego Trust & Savings Bank.
Folding brochure, a large oversize sheet printed on both sides with multiple maps including a map of La Jolla-Pacific Beach.
A large decorative pictorial birds-eye view of southern California around San Diego, with numerous cartoon style vignette illustrations.
Publisher's illustrated paper wrappers.
Item is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.
Paper covers soiled and age worn, some short tears along a couple fold lines, small thin spots of paper loss to one panel slightly affecting the large urban plan (readily backed with paper and then likely all but invisible) remains overall clean and attractive as an object.
Text block paper is gently toned, signs of handling.
Still attractive on the shelf. Despite some condition issues mentioned and seen in pics, this scarce fragile folding map displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this rare California cartographic item survives.
Covers measures c. 8 1/2" H x 3 3/4" W.
