The School Arts Book, by Henry Turner Bailey. Volume Seven: September, 1907 to June, 1908.
Published 1908, Worcester, Massachusetts by the Davis Press.
938 pages. Text in English. Profusely illustrated throughout with various types of plates, including photographic, color and large folding plates and charts.

A continuous complete run of 10 scarce monthly issues of this outstanding early primary education work with all color plates and inserts present, afterwards bound together by the publisher.

A heavily illustrated work likely hundreds of different interesting images of all manner relating to the teaching of arts and crafts to young children in a public school system at the beginning of the 20th century. At least five of the color plates appear to our eyes to be original color lithographs with great artistic merit. Fun content, hours of reading and browsing pleasure lies within this little known and scarce early work.

Publisher's cloth binding, gilt title lettering, gilt art nouveau style cover decorations.

Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.

Binding gently age worn, light rubbing and signs of handling but nothing offensive or severe, remains overall attractive as an object.

Paper is gently toned, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.

Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.

Please review photos for more detail showing how this fine large heavy early 20th century survives. The asking price reflects the condition based on our examination and 35+ years full time exposure to antiquarian books and ephemera of all types. Flaws seen and described have been taken into account.
