(Old Books, Americana, Comic Books, World War II, Spy Smasher).
Spy Smasher: Story of the Navy.
Published 1942, Greenwich, Connecticut by Fawcett Publications.
32 pages. Text in English. Small pictorial comic book format, printed in two colors. Perhaps distributed as a premium?
Publisher's paper wrappers.
Booklet/ comic is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding gently age worn, remains overall well preserved and attractive as an object.
Text block paper is gently toned, seems clean and nice to our eyes, internally still well preserved, tight, sound. We do not get into the endlessly debatable minutia of grading comic books using the Overstreet scale, so item is non-returnable for grading reasons. Sold as seen in pics, lets say Good+ condition although it might be far nicer than that to some eyes. Scarce little WWII comic book in any condition.
Still attractive on the shelf. Comic displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this vintage comic book survives.
