St. Louis and the World's Fair.
Published 1904, St. Louis, Missouri by Robert Allan Reid.
56 pages plus wrappers. Text in English. Profusely illustrated throughout.

Rare and beautiful oversized Fair souvenir item. An ephemeral survival, originally issued for sale with large format periodicals on news stands and possibly given away as a promotional item during the Fair.

Illustrated color lithographed pictorial paper wrappers. Large folding birds-eye view fold-out still complete and present (now separated along fold lines into 2 pieces, readily mended with no image loss if desired).

Fragile paper binding remains attractive looking, still sound- displays typical light age wear, small edge splitting, short 1/2" tear from fore-edge through text block (splits neatly closed with archival tape), and other minor paper flaws which do not adversely affect the overall visual appeal.

Text block remains overall clean, and displays a pleasing age patina. The large folding birds-eye view has a detailed key below it.

Item remains well preserved and attractive on the shelf. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.

Please review photos for more detail and our best attempt to convey how this antique item survives.

Book Measures c. 14 3/4" H x 10 1/4" W.

[B1467].

Large fragile periodical format items such as this rarely survive at all, and any which do should be accepted as found. It often seems to us to turn out that waiting for a nicer example of early magazines results in not seeing another example for years.
