Page count starts p. 753 ends with p. 816. Text in English.
Front cover only, no rear cover- disbound from a sammelband. Sold for the scarce maps.
Folding maps at rear as issued (appear unopened although paper is somewhat brittle and could split along fold lines if not handled with care).
Contents include: "Address on the Opening of the 48th Session of the Society" by the Earl of Northbrook; "The Dutch Expedition to Central Sumatra" by Professor P.J. Veith; "Notes on the Cocos or Keeling Islands" by Henry O. Forbes; "Boundary Line of Chili and Bolivia".
Maps include: "The Cocos or Keeling Islands", "District of Atacama"- both show wrinkling to paper.
Scarce late 19th century geographical periodical removed from bound volume (evidence visible along spine).
Original paper cover, lacking rear wrapper. Binding remains clean, tight, and sound. Interior clean, some pages loosened from old dried glue binding, light signs of use.
The periodical remains well preserved given the fragile nature. It displays a pleasing and unique age patina, the age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
