A collection of 19th century short stories from the prolific temperance author Timothy Shay Arthur. A contemporary and friend of Edgar Allan Poe, Arthur was known for the strong prohibitionist message of his works.
Book is sound and tight. Front joint cracked 1" at head, extremities scuffed, still displaying a handsome age patina. Contents clean but with scattered spotting throughout which is mostly light and inoffensive.
