Bound collection of 6 monthly issues (July - December 1793). 480 pages total, with 11 (of 17?) engraved plates. Allegorical Frontis, 5 maps & 5 views.
Period leather 1/4 binding, raised bands, gilt lettering, date and title to spine, marbled covers. Covers rubbed, joints cracked, front cover weakened but still firmly attached. However, binding remains tight and sound throughout.
Internally sound & tight,overall clean, some light old damp staining to some leaves. Contains five fold out English County maps [Norfolk, Northamptonshire, Northumberland, Oxfordshire & Notinghamshire], along with several other full page engravings.
With a lengthy 3 pp. description of Washington D.C., a broad range of topics including politics, topography, current events, history, agriculture, letters, fiction & poetry, etc.
