Slade, Jun.
Published 1825, Windsor, Vermont by Simeon Ide.
756 pages. Text in English. Includes complete printings of The Declaration of Independence, Articles of Confederation and The Constitution before the Laws of Vermont begin.
Period full leather binding, smooth spine, gilt bands, gilt title lettering on contrasting leather label, embossed ruled covers. A thick, monumental and comprehensive work.
Book is physically old and shows some signs of handling and time. Book is not new or in "new" condition.
Binding gently age worn, leather rubbed but still supple, old staining, wear to spine base, joints slightly scuffed, remnants of old paper spine label, remains overall attractive as an object.
Text block paper is toned, some old damp staining, signs of handling and usage, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.
Still attractive on the shelf. Book displays a pleasing and unique age patina and is in nice antiquarian condition, any age flaws easy to overlook or forgive.
