Rare N.H. imprint with an early engraved world map. Interesting content relating to North American west, etc.

On the map Van Diemen's island is shown attached to the Australian mainland.

Item is physically old and shows clear signs of handling and time. Item is not new or in "new" condition.

Binding gently age worn, front joint cracked rendering cover loose, edges of wooden boards exposed, remains overall attractive as an early 19th century American book binding.

Text block paper is age toned, light to moderate scattered age browning or spotting, internally still well preserved, tight, sound.
